The Creative Spirit: Exploring Creation, Art and Identity

IMG_4581The Wayfarer Arts Conference is hosted by Lee Abbey, a Christian Community and conference centre set in a spacious 280 acres of farm and woodland, overlooking the dramatic North Devon coast near Lynton.

The aim of the week is to explore the deeper questions of art and spirituality and provide an opportunity for anyone engaged with the creative arts or media to come and be refreshed within a community setting.

There will be talks and discussions in the mornings, a wide variety of workshops in the afternoons, entertainment events in the evenings – and plenty of time for walking in Exmoor National Park and beside the sea.

Loren Wilkinson will be the keynote speaker this year. Loren teaches Christianity and the arts, philosophy, and earth keeping at Regent College, Vancouver, Canada.

Other contributors include screenwriter Murray Watts, musician Miriam Jones, comedy writer Jam Cary, composer Steven Faux, musician and sound engineer Jez Carr, writer Ross Lawhead, artist Monique Sliedrecht, musical director, Pete Gunstone, and Transpositions‘ editor, Sara Schumacher.
