Sarah Moerman

Sarah is a choral conductor, soprano, and lately a doctoral student at the Institute for Theology, Imagination and the Arts at the University of St Andrews. Utilising her professional performing experience, her research seeks to develop and clarify conversations around musical theology. Her dissertation explores contemporary Passion settings by John Adams and James MacMillan, and aims to determine the role of faith in musical communication of doctrines of atonement.
