Francesca Bugliani Knox is Research Associate at Heythrop College and Honorary Senior Research Associate at University College London. She is interested in the study of the interconnections between literature, theology and spirituality. She has published several books and articles on various aspects of English and Italian literature from the Renaissance to the present. Her publications include The Eye of the Eagle: John Donne and the Legacy of Ignatius Loyola (Peter Lang 2011) and the edited volume Ronald Knox, A Man for All Seasons (PIMS 2016). She has co-edited Poetry and the Religious Imagination (Ashgate 2015) and Poetry and Prayer (Routledge 2016). Likewise, she is Convener for the Power of the Word conferences, initiated by Heythrop College (University of London), which foster international dialogue between theologians, philosophers, literary scholars and creative writers as they explore the boundaries between poetry, theology and philosophy.
