Announcement: Arts & Spirituality Ireland Conference: The Artist as Seer: Dreamer of Dreams

DUBLIN—Arts & Spirituality Ireland (ASI) will present a one day conference, The Artist as Seer: Dreamer of Dreams on Saturday 18 October 2014 at the Chester Beatty Library from 10am to 2:30pm, including lunch at the Silk Road Cafe.

Conference speakers include:

  • Maria Simonds-­Gooding, member of Aosdána and the Royal Hibernian Academy, which presents a retrospective of her work from 5 Sept ­ 26 Oct. She will also exhibit at The Taylor Galleries, 16 Oct ­– 8 Nov.
  • Arthur Duff, architect and designer at Duff­-Tisdall and President, Friends of the National Collections of Ireland (FNCI)
  • Michael Conway, Professor of Faith and Culture at St. Patrick’s College Maynooth and Director of the Irish Centre for Faith and Culture
  • Una Agnew, Associate Professor Emerita at Milltown Institute, Dublin and author of The Mystical Imagination of Patrick Kavanagh: A Buttonhole in Heaven
