Fife Pilgrim Way: A Sequence (6 Balbirnie Stone Circle) – Donald MacEwan

Fife Pilgrim Way: a Sequence

In the summer of 2020, I walked the Fife Pilgrim Way from Culross to St Andrews with friends.  This sequence of poems with photographs explores places and incidents along the way, wondering as we wandered if and how the divine was and is encountered in the presences and absences, the dead and the living, in pilgrims then and now.  It wonders if relics can rekindle grace, an inbreaking or perhaps rather, a recognising.

Donald MacEwan has spent his life listening to 80s indie, playing golf indifferently, travelling around the world hopefully, teaching English ineffectually, reading pleasurably, and ministering cheerfully.  He has been Chaplain to the University of St Andrews for ten years.
