Fearless – Perspectacles – Wendy Lew Toda

Title:

Fearless

Materials:

Recycled eyeglass frames, paper, wire, acrylic paint.

Description:

Fear can hold us captive — real joy, unfazed and unstoppable, will have none of that. It begins internally, then breaks outward, through the tops of the frames, which are sawn and bent open because joy cannot be contained. The movement of the wire reaches beyond the planes of space defined by the eyeglasses, curving into space inside, outside, and above.

Bio:

I create art from whatever media best communicates my concept. By doing this, I seek to open generative conversations with self, others, and spirit. The Perspectacles are a mixed media sculptural body of work that explores the ways we see/don’t see. wendylewtoda.com
