In the summer of 2010, a group of graduate students within the Institute for Theology, Imagination and the Arts (ITIA) at the University of St Andrews launched a blog called Transpositions. Before the idea of launching regular symposia even crossed our minds, we decided to devote an entire week to review David Taylor’s edited volume For the Beauty of the Church. This week long review ‘became’ our first symposium in much the same way that history is redeemed through its recapitulation in Christ!
